An Indian software company, est. 2026

Practical software for India’s regulated industries.

Valuedocs builds workmanlike tools for fields that take rules seriously - law, compliance, public records. We start with software that lawyers, students and citizens can actually trust, and we grow from there.

About

A small Indian company building software where the rules matter.

Valuedocs was incorporated in May 2026 as an Indian private limited company, but the software came first: the platform has been in continuous development since early 2025, built by an engineer and a practising advocate working on a problem they both had. The company followed when there was something worth incorporating for.

Our focus is software for regulated industries - sectors where outputs need to be defensible, not just impressive. We believe AI is useful in these fields only when it is grounded in real sources and built with operators in the loop.

We are starting with legal research because it is a field we know well, and because the tools available to Indian practitioners have not kept pace with the rest of the world. From there, we plan to grow into adjacent regulated workflows.

Products

What we are building

One product is live and shipping. Others are on the roadmap. We would rather do one thing properly than launch a portfolio of half answers.

Valuedocs Legal

First product - shipping

An AI-assisted legal research platform for Indian law. It maps the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita codes against IPC and CrPC, runs a Duo Mode advisor tuned for advocates, judges and students, and answers from judgments it retrieves rather than from what a model remembers - every answer points back at the passage it came from.

BNS / BNSS / IPC-CrPC mapper
Move cleanly between the new Indian criminal codes and their predecessor sections, with side-by-side context.
Duo Mode AI advisor
Tuned for advocates, judges and students - the assistant adapts the depth and tone of its answers to who is asking.
Two sources, searched together
Our own corpus of High Court judgments, built from the open data the courts publish, searched alongside Indian Kanoon. No single database carries every judgment, so we do not rely on one.
Your own documents, filed under a matter
Upload the papers in a case, keep them under the matter they belong to, and get analysis that answers from those documents. Private to your account.
Practitioner-first interface
Search, read, and lift sections without losing context. Built with working lawyers, not designed at them.
Try the betaFree while in beta. No card required.

Team

Who is behind Valuedocs

Two founders: one who builds the software, one who practises the law it is built for. That pairing is the point - legal judgement sits inside the product decisions, not in a review at the end.

  • Joseph Antony Aruja

    Founder and engineering lead

Software engineer with a long-running interest in Indian law and public records. Director on the MCA register (DIN 11729280). Building Valuedocs to make regulated-industry software in India something practitioners actually want to use.

  • Martin Justin Aruja

    Co-founder, legal lead

Advocate practising in India, and the reason the software is built the way it is. Every feature is checked against how research is actually done in practice — which is how we know a summary that lists what a document does not contain is useless, and why citations must point back at the passage they came from.
